One of the key factors in my own defeat over a anxiety disorder was modifying my diet and removing highly processed foods. This coupled with exercise and meditation had a profound effect on my overall health.

Learning about how important what we put in or on our body directly affect the chemistry in our personal ecosystem.  The Anti-Anxiety Food Solution was one of the incredible resource for me to learn about effects of diet on anxiety.

When it comes to managing or curing anxiety disorders, food and nutrition, I found is one of the most important components to improve remission probability.

Trudy Scott really tells you how to fine tune your body and exposes the incredible mechanism in which to heal our selves.

I found this book user friendly and really one of the only books I could  found tying together the importance of nutrition and mental health. This was a real life changer for me and the best $15 I’ve ever spent. A little book with big impact.

  1. This little book has a lot of punch and really woke my up to how my diet was affecting my mood.
    I highly recommended to anyone trying to resolve mental health issues.
    Vince, have you read Gut by Gulia Enders? It explains a lot about microbiology and neuroscience.

I found this completely by accident, but having recently experienced a fairly prolonged bout of anxiety, I found the notion of dietary impact really interesting; not in the least because not many people actually think about the mental ramifications of what we are eating (myself included). Other members of my immediate family have also suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, I think we could all benefit from exploring this avenue. Thank you for this post, I look forward to reading it.

    This is a great review and the topic of food as a healing agent is a very popular topic, if only everyone would realize that the food industry is not our friend they are only after profits. I have greatly reduced processed food in my diet and it has made a great difference in my health and coupled with exercise, also improve my weight agility.

  5. Great post. What you eat really affects your mood. Most people go for carbs as comfort food . Too many people in the world are suffering from anxiety issues and I am glad you wrote a beautiful post on how to deal with it through the right diet.
