My Review

I’ve read a tonne of material on Anxiety but this is one of the first few that I read. It really stuck with me and helped me on the beginning of my anxiety journey.

Not a traditional self-help book in fact I can’t call this a self-help novel. I found this book great for people who have no idea what they’re up against and are too stuck to try. It’s conversational and a quick read. Highly recommend if you’re just starting out your journey to having a more manageable relationship with anxiety.

This booked doesn’t go in deep technical or much psychology. That’s why it’s more of an enjoyable read and gives the anxious reader less to worry about and hope that they will manage their anxiety disorder.

Robert gets to the point and doesn’t drag on like most books. I laughed and learned at the same time. Robert’s words of wisdom made me feel clear headed and confident in a time that was tough on my life.

Robert has some real-life experience and knowledge in dealing with anxiety and shares some of these experiences which makes it easy to relate too.

It’s a relative short read about 70 pages but I definably think it makes an impact with many people suffering from anxiety.

I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a common language (non jargon) read about anxiety disorders.

This sounds like an interesting book to read. Does he recommend any actionable steps, or is it more about his personal journey with anxiety?

    • Hi Irma,
There some great tips to take away to help manage anxiety as well as the personal stories.
There are better guides if your looking for step by step action, but this is great for a beginner.

  3. Hi Vince,

Thanks for the review of this book. I can understand what you mean about books being a chore to read. I don’t necessarily know whethe I would like this book as I don’t appreciate swearing all that much.

I am not a prude don’t get me wrong but sometimes I feel there is a time and place for it. Still it’s good to know what books are out there so I can check them out.

    • Yeah cursing is one of those things that’s not for everybody. I find it extremely effective in a comedic environment which is great to get a message across.

      Thanks for your comment.

  4. Sounds like a really good read. I suffer with anxiety and find most self help books too technical and sometimes depressing. This one sounds like it would be right up my street.
    With Grace and Gratitude
