About the Book
Hardcore Self Help: F**k Anxiety is for those of us that find the prospect of reading a traditional self help book to be way too boring. How are you supposed to make positive change in your life if the book itself feels like a chore? This book is definitely not a chore.
In Hardcore Self Help: F**k Anxiety, Robert Duff talks to you like a friend. There is lots of swearing and humor and also loads of helpful and actionable information. You learn about anxiety and how to find the weapons within yourself to slay it for good.
I’ve read a tonne of material on Anxiety but this is one of the first few that I read. It really stuck with me and helped me on the beginning of my anxiety journey.
Not a traditional self-help book in fact I can’t call this a self-help novel. I found this book great for people who have no idea what they’re up against and are too stuck to try. It’s conversational and a quick read. Highly recommend if you’re just starting out your journey to having a more manageable relationship with anxiety.
This booked doesn’t go in deep technical or much psychology. That’s why it’s more of an enjoyable read and gives the anxious reader less to worry about and hope that they will manage their anxiety disorder.
Robert gets to the point and doesn’t drag on like most books. I laughed and learned at the same time. Robert’s words of wisdom made me feel clear headed and confident in a time that was tough on my life.
Robert has some real-life experience and knowledge in dealing with anxiety and shares some of these experiences which makes it easy to relate too.
It’s a relative short read about 70 pages but I definably think it makes an impact with many people suffering from anxiety.
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a common language (non jargon) read about anxiety disorders.
